The garlic is definitely present and enhances the rice flavor. It says it's garlic sticky rice but I would not consider it sticky. The Brussels sprouts were yummy for someone like me who isn't a big fan and I loved the garlicky rice. The tuna was also delicious in its own right and I don't think I have had anything like the seared tuna with their special sauce. I could definitely have eaten another plate. What truly blew me away was the fabulous sea bass! Everything about the dish was chefs kiss from the tenderness of the fish, the delicious creamy sauce, and the buttery cous-cous. The presentation of the sushi is beautiful though! Maybe it's just my chopstick skills but the sushi fell apart easily when dipping into soy sauce and I didn't get as much flavor from the fish as I was expecting but the price is fair for a speciality roll and it was filling. I was curious about their sushi so I'm glad we tried it but I wouldn't say it was amazing and wouldn't get it again. To start off, we ordered the Takami Sushi ($21), then two of their specialty plates the Champagne Yuzu Seabass ($32) and Tuna Soy Vin Blanc ($25), and finished off with the Japanese tiramisu ($12). The menu is easily accessible from the QR codes or online oriole-ranunculus-geh6.s… All of the staff there are extremely responsive with refilling water and taking away plates- truly a stand out. Seth, our server, was very animated and enthusiastic in his menu recommendations. My partner and I came on a drizzling Tuesday night to celebrate a work anniversary so there weren't many people dining but we were pleasantly taken aback with the lovely view, quite unobstructed from the lack of people sitting in their outside sitting area. Our bill also ended being incorrect because we got charged items we ended up not getting but didn't want to wait on since at this point it's been over 2 hours now.Īlso fyi valet is in the back and it's only 12$. We waited nearly 30 minutes just for dessert to come out which I don't quite get why when it ended up being just a tiramisu. We ordered the rock shrimp tempura and crispy rice tuna in addition to the omakase meal set and we never got our crispy rice tuna. Our server was also hard to flag down or find when we needed him, waters were never refilled and food was missing. It was a bit on the soggy side so I just ate the nigiri without the rice. The food over all was good and the fish quality was fine, the sushi rice for the nigiri was my least favorite part of the meal. Additionally we moved inside cause it was cold in the outside seating and there were so many moths flying around during our dinner. They were really bad at pacing the 8 courses and all of the dishes and everything took a really long time to come out. And while the food was fine the experience was underwhelming and I probably won't be back. Our reservation was at 6pm for 2 people omakase dinner. I was quite disappointed with our dinner and dining experience overall.
